
We are looking for a New Graduate Allied Health professionals (graduating in 2025) to join our team, as a part of our New Grad Sponsorship Program.
As part of this incentive we are offering $10,000 Cash for our successful candidate.
WHY? We know being a student is stressful; between placements and assignments, it never leaves enough time to work. We want to support you to be able to finish and enjoy the end of your degree, without the stress of money. We also know that moving to a remote location is not one you do on a whim, and there needs to be some incentive involved. This is a win win.

For our successful applicant we are offering:
- $10,000 Cash ($2,500 when you accept the position, $2,500 at 6 months and $5,000 when you complete 12 months)
- Position: The guarantee of a Permanant Full Time Physiotherapy position. (*Sponsored position minimum term of 12 months)
- Wage: $80,000 + Super + Entitlements
- Package: Accommodation, work car, graduate mentoring program
- Accommodation: You will be provided with accommodation in Lightning Ridge for the duration of your 12 month contract. You will not have to pay rent.
- Work Car: You will have access to our fleet vehicles to travel around the community to appointments.
- Supervision and Mentoring: As a New Graduate you will have access to peer mentoring, supervision, training and guidance. This will be tailored to you and your preferences – as much support as you need, for as long as you need it.
- Flexibility: We will make the role suit you and your lifestyle. All of our team work different flexible rosters to best support their commitments and their trips back home to see family.
- $10,000 Professional Development Budget: Through the NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN), you may have access to up to $10,000 to cover the cost of professional development (e.g. courses, webinars, conferences and associated travel expenses) through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP)
- Relocation Grant: Have the opportunity to apply to the NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) for a Relocation Grant. With Lightning Ridge being a 6 Modified Monash Model (MMM) category. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to *eligible allied health practitioners moving to rural NSW communities.

Outback Therapy are proud to provide health services to the Lightning Ridge community. Your role will involve:
- Completing assessments and interventions for musculoskeletal conditions, acute injuries, chronic health and disease and manual handling.
- Delivering evidence based and goal directed physiotherapy interventions
- Completing clinic, home and community visits
- Delivering a range of services under Medicare, NDIS, Private, iCare and Workcover.
- Supporting pain management program within RACF
- Provision of individual and groups programs
- The role will allow for someone to grow / implement rural service delivery and offerings, being a pivotal allied health provider in delivering primary access and chronic care.

Moving to an outback community isn’t for everyone, and we acknowledge that. But, we know that there is someone out there that will be just as passionate about rural health as us, and will want to make a difference for remote communities. We are looking for someone who:
- Will be culturally conscious in their service delivery and be respectful of Lightning Ridge’s multicultural community.
- Willing to learn and stay up to date with their clinical knowledge to ensure the community are receiving a quality service.
- Enjoy the experience of living in an Outback Community. Our town is very close knit, with social events, festivals, tourist attractions and a vibrant nature. There is always something happening, and we think you will enjoy your time if you immerse yourself in the community.
- All employee’s must hold a current AHPRA registration, Medicare registration, Working With Children’s Check, NDIS Workers Screening check, first aid certificate and a current drivers licence.
- We are a small, close knit team who enjoy working alongside each other. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working in a small team, while also being able to work autonomously and be self driven.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of people (clients, community members, medical staff, team members etc.).
- Completion of Worker Orientation Module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’
- Word, excel and practice management system skills (e.g. Cliniko)
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS practice standards

There is some important information for the successful candidate:
- The sponsored New Graduate Position is a full time permanent position at Outback Therapy with a minimum contracted term of 12 months. As the position is permanent, after completing the minimum 12 month term, you may choose to stay (we know you will love it here!!) or continue on your next journey.
- If you leave your contracted position within the first 12 months, any sponsorship funds you have received must be repaid in full.
