Outback Therapy is on the lookout for a motivated Physiotherapist to join our welcoming team in Lightning Ridge – a truly unique outback town in NSW.
We are part of Raymond Terrace Therapy, a growing allied health practice that takes a multidisciplinary team approach. Our services span clinic, home, community, and partnered health facilities.
We’re proud to provide therapy for people of all ages and abilities. Our current team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitian and a Psychologist We are a registered NDIS provider for early intervention and therapy supports.
About the role
We welcome applications from both:
- New graduates looking for a supportive first role, and
- Experienced Physiotherapists ready for a rewarding new challenge.
You’ll work in our modern Lightning Ridge clinic – a bright and vibrant space with a gym space and sensory gym space – while also providing care in homes and community settings.
This role offers a mixed caseload, from paediatrics to adults, covering acute injuries, chronic disease, and disability. You’ll be supported by a senior Physiotherapist and work closely with our wider allied health team.
You’ll gain experience across a wide range of assessments and interventions, while making a real difference helping clients achieve their therapy goals.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, acute injuries, chronic disease and disability
- Delivering evidence-based, goal-directed interventions
- Providing therapy in clinic, home and community settings
- Providing outreach services to partnered health facilities
- Running group programs and individual sessions (including Pilates-based therapy)
- Delivering services under Medicare, NDIS, Private, iCare and WorkCover
- Supporting rural health access and developing innovative service delivery models

Requirements
Essential criteria
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Physiotherapy
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
- Valid driver’s licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Police Check, NDIS Worker’s Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
Desirable criteria
- Experience working with children and/or adults (new grads encouraged to apply)
- Completion of the Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You
- Experience with practice management systems (e.g. Cliniko)
- Knowledge of NDIS practice standards
- CPR certification (HLTAID001)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
