
About Carolyn Pickworth
Hi, I’m Carolyn! I have been living and working in Lightning Ridge since 2012. I am passionate about providing quality mental health support for rural and remote families. I enjoy running, swimming and spending time with my fiancé and our (nearly) 3 year old daughter. I also have two sausage dogs called Frankie and Skittles.

I completed the AHPRA pathway to become a registered Psychologist in 2018. I completed Professor Tracy Westerman’s Aboriginal Mental Health Training and have been trained to use a number of unique psychometric tests for Aboriginal people including the Westerman Aboriginal Symptom Checklist-Youth and Adult.

What are some of your favourite approaches to therapy?
Building emotional regulation and coping skills through play-based therapy. Working with families to build on positive relationships and develop attachment styles.

I like working with a great team. We are very supportive of each other and passionate about providing quality services and care to our community.

My partner and I recently bought our first home in Lightning Ridge that we are currently renovating!
