Outback Therapy is seeking expressions of interest for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team with our established Lightning Ridge clinic. 

Outback Therapy is a branch of Raymond Terrace Therapy, providing a multidisciplinary team approach. Services are provided within the clinic, home, community and partnered health facilities. 

We provide therapy to all ages and abilities. Our current therapies include; Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. Our business is a registered NDIS provider for early intervention supports and therapy supports. 

The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for a friendly and passionate Part-time or Full-Time Allied Health Assistant to work along side our Allied Health Therapists to support therapy programs and assist with implementation of therapy plans.

As an Allied Health Assistant, also known as a Therapy Assistant, you will support a range of clients of all ages, across various disciplines – Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology & Occupational Therapy.

About you

• Demonstrated patient-focused approach in a customer service position
• Experience in health or disability sector
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and autonomously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A current drivers license
• Current Working with Children Check.
• National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client intervention as guided by Therapist
• Implement therapy programs as directed by Therapist
• Assist Therapist with client related tasks and administration
• Assist Therapist with resource development
• Liaise with patients and stakeholders
• Work well within a team environment and also autonomously
• Assist with organisation duties and business service offerings
• Enhance the business image by providing a positive experience to patients, practitioners and external stakeholders
